With the continual search for solutions to address the high costs of higher education, community colleges are playing an increasingly important role in enabling access to more students. To that end, Next Gen recently attended the Conference of Community College Advancement (CCCA), the annual meeting of professionals who work to advance community colleges, in beautiful Anaheim, California, October 1-3.
Conference participants were immersed in opportunities for learning, connecting, developing and creating. Keynote speakers discussed topics such as “Communication and the Art of Persuasion,” “Adapting, Succeeding and Thriving in Community College Advancement,” and “Transform Your Message for Best Results: The Art of Email.” Other workshops explored everything from Fundraising and Stewardship, to Developing Board Members, to When a Community College Transforms a City. Participants included professionals from every realm of community college life, including advancement leaders; fundraisers; marketing, communications, and public relations directors; alumni relations staff; college chancellors, CEOs and board members, and newcomers to the profession. Attendees shared one commonality: a dedication to excellence in higher education.
Next Gen is committed to helping students access their higher education goals and we’re proud to participate in conferences like CCCA to stay abreast of the very best trends, practices, innovations and minds in higher education achievement.
